The Burkina Faso-based design practice of Hamed Ouattara honours and elevates an African culture of repurposing. Seeking beauty and new life in the discarded – often old oil barrels – he makes cabinets, tables and stools for the collectors’ market. Hamed is represented by the Swiss gallery Foreign Agent, which took his work to PAD Paris and will be exhibiting his pieces during Design Miami .
